Passion for Excellence
Around 450 well-wishers from all over the world joined Silhouette to celebrate its 50th anniversary as part of a large “family celebration”. The highlight of the celebrations was the “Passion for Excellence” symphony, which Austrian composer Hermann Miesbauer composed especially for Silhouette, which was presented by 50 students from the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz.

More about Passion for Excellence
The five creative steps in the process of manufacturing eyewear derived by only the most necessary steps and components, and no compromise when it comes to perfection, forms the musical leitmotif of the symphony. In all five parts, there are five tones in 3/4 time, in a nod to the company’s headquarters in Austria, that are symmetrically arranged in pitch as well as rhythm.
Taking center stage of the symphony is the piano, for emphasizing the individual importance of eyewear to its wearer. Building on that is the orchestra, the devoted team of experts committed to customized eyewear each and every day.
