Minimalist Monday: Hyperfocused Stores
Salsa, condensed milk, various spices: the MISCELANEA shop (photo) in New York carries just a small selection of products. This is because store owner Guillaume Guevara only offers foods he knows from his youth in Mexico City. In doing so, he is following a current trend: more and more groceries are concentrating on a minimal but all the more refined product range. This is not simply about carrying the smallest possible number of items. Hyperfocused stores set themselves apart mainly through pronounced specialisation, making them unique even in a metropolis. Those on the search for something special (keyword: quality over quantity) are very well served in such a store this Minimalist Monday!
